Are you ready to take your voice to the next level? Whether you're an ambitious amateur, a passionate student, or a professional performer, I'm here to help you find and express your authentic voice.
Over the years, my students have been accepted into prestigious programs like the University of Illinois, University of Wisconsin Madison, and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, often with generous scholarships. Many have gone on to perform professionally on concert and theatrical stages, earning high honors in competitive audition choirs such as All-State and All-American honors choruses. My students routinely land leading roles when auditioning for musicals and operas.
I’m looking for serious, driven performers who are ready to invest time and effort into developing their voice. If you fall into one of these categories, we will work well together:
Ambitious Amateurs: Participants in community choirs, church choirs, or community theatre, karaoke enthusiasts—people who take their performance seriously and want to improve their technique and artistry.
Passionate Students: You love singing and performing—not for social purposes or to fill extracurriculars, but because you are aiming for something more. Perhaps you're looking to land the lead in the school musical, sing the solo at the next choir concert, or get into the top choir.
Aspiring or Working Professionals: Whether you’re looking to get into your dream college program or elevate your professional career, I work with those striving for excellence in technique, repertoire, and vocal artistry.
I don’t teach students who are only interested in singing along with the radio or alone in their room. My studio is for performers, not casual hobbyists. I focus on serious singers who are dedicated to improving their voice and reaching their goals. If you’re not prepared to put in the work, this may not be the right fit for you.
My approach is built on developing strong vocal technique while allowing you to sing authentically in any genre. Together, we will focus on:
Breath Support: Learn how to control your breath for more power and consistency in your singing.
Healthy Phonation: Ensure the production of your sound is repeatable day in and day out, and going to keep you free from injury to have a long singing career.
Vocal Registration: Master the switch between chest and head voice and find a balanced classical vs. contemporary mix.
Tension Release: Address any tension in your body or voice to unlock freedom and ease.
Authentic Expression: Develop your unique voice so you can perform confidently in any genre, whether it's classical, pop, musical theatre, or opera.
Regular Students: For those committed to ongoing vocal development. You’ll have a fixed schedule and pay tuition monthly at a lower hourly rate. This model allows for consistent progress and full access to me outside of lessons for quick questions or updates on your vocal journey.
Irregular Students: For those who need more flexibility, this pay-as-you-go model allows you to take lessons on an as-needed basis, but at a slightly higher hourly rate.
Lessons with me are primarily administered online. This may be a new concept to you, and prior to the Covid-19 pandemic it was admittedly almost unheard of, but I have personally been utilizing online lessons for many years now. I am able to teach using Google Meetings, Facetime, and FarPlay. Online lessons come with the following benefits:
Cost-effective: Because I do not need to rent a space to teach, I am able to offer a lower hourly rate than I otherwise would need to charge.
Fewer missed lessons: Minor illnesses, travel time, and more will not stand in the way of your study thanks to the flexibility of online lessons.
Study (and teach!) from anywhere: When you study with me, you get the benefit of studying with a working, performing professional. As a result I am frequently on the road for gigs, but thanks to online lessons I am usually still able to teach during those contract periods.
Please note that my studio is somewhat exclusive. I only accept students who are ready to work hard and are passionate about their vocal growth. Openings are limited and students are accepted on a rolling basis. The application process will evaluate both your talent and your passion for singing—passion is the most important quality I look for in a student.
If you're truly dedicated and ready to take your voice to the next level, I’d love to hear from you.
